Education:
2003 - 2007 - Postgraduate studies in practical political science at Samara State University, then defended my PhD thesis in Political Science at St.Petersburg State University. 
My PhD thesis was analytical and dealt with the issues of constructing nationalist discourse and its “Others” in the media. I used research methods such as qualitative and quantitative content analysis (using the SPSS platform), discourse analysis and data visualization methods.

1998 - 2003 -  Studied at the history department of Samara State University. 
During my studies, I analyzed historical databases using qualitative content analysis and discourse analysis. The result of my work was a study of the Fashoda crisis of 1898, based on materials from the English and French press of that time.

Participation in scientific projects:
2003 - 2023 - assistant, senior lecturer and associate professor at Samara State University. 
While working at the University, I participated in Russian and international research projects, including: 2005 - 2008 - “Social networks and the quality of life of the population in times of crisis” [1], the project under the leadership of Steinberg I. was carried out using interview methods and analysis of the data carried out on the SPSS platform.
2014 - 2015, I worked with the Norwegian Foreign Policy Institute (NUPI) on the analysis of Russian patriotism in the regional perspective and its "own and others". In this study the Ch. Osgood method was used to analyze the Samara press in 2011-2014. Using correlation data analysis, regression analysis and factor analysis (the code was written in Python and SQL), we examined the “image of the enemy” in the Samara regional press and the strategy for its construction.  
My project manager was Helge Blakkisrud.. In his team, I analyzed modern media using statistical methods on the https://deepnote.com platform using SQL and Python programming languages. The work was present at Columbia University at the International Conference on the study of nationalities (https://bit.ly/3BWzQri) and an article in the journal “Public Opinion Monitoring” [2]. 
2007 - 2020 - data analyst in social research. I worked on a contract with the Institute of Sociology of the Russian Academy of Sciences, worked under a working agreement with the Center for Promoting Democracy and Human Rights "Gelix", headed the Samara branch of the organization (http://irena.org.ru/forum/ ), collaborated on a part-time basis with the editors of the magazine "Emergency Reserve" and wrote book reviews for them. Together with colleagues from Moscow universities, the Universities of St. Petersburg and Kazan, we conducted numerous social surveys concerning the electoral behavior of Russians, voting strategies for a particular party, and attitudes towards migrants and refugees. The result was the publication of a series of articles: (rus) and a series of analytical reviews, including [3]. 
2021 - Present - I work as a freelance data analyst on my own projects aimed at social change in the modern world. On platform https://deepnote.com I researched the yellow vest movement in France. The result of the study was the article [4].
In 2022, I did a little research using correlation analysis. Research topic - “The existence of              religion online during the Covid-19 pandemic”. [5]. 
I am currently working on a research project on the "image of Russia" in the global media based on GDELT data [7]. In this study, I counted the militaristic rhetoric of the media as a percentage of EventCode in the discourse about Russia. The SQL programming language was used.
